Terms of service

Last updated October 12, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using HollerSpot, and what you and we can expect from each other. We've tried to write them in plain English. Please read them, because they include limits on our liability and how disputes are handled.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and HollerSpot (“HollerSpot”, “we”, “us”), which is run from New South Wales, Australia. They cover the HollerSpot website, app and everything we provide through them (the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use HollerSpot. If you use it for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to agree to these terms for it, and “you” also means that organisation.

2. What HollerSpot does

You add your product's website. A scan then looks at public sources, such as Google results, “best of” articles, websites, directories, Q&A sites and online communities, and gives you a ranked list of opportunities. Each opportunity has a link, the reason we picked it and a suggested next step. HollerSpot can also write drafts of emails and replies for you.

HollerSpot never posts, replies or sends emails for you. You decide what to do with each opportunity, and you do it yourself, on your own accounts.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in to HollerSpot.
  • Give us accurate information and keep your email address up to date.
  • An account is for one person. Don't share it or sell it.
  • You are responsible for everything done with your account.
  • If you think someone else has used your account, email us right away at [email protected].

4. Plans, trials and payments

Plans and limits

Each plan includes a number of products, scans and other features. The current plans and their limits are on our pricing section. Limits stop the Service from being overloaded and keep it fair for everyone. Please don't try to get around them, for example by opening extra accounts.

Free trials

We may offer a free trial. We'll tell you how long it lasts and what happens when it ends before you start it. If a trial needs a payment method, we'll charge it when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Payments

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Payments are handled by a payment company. It may act as the seller of record, which means it handles the charge, receipts and sales tax. Its terms also apply to your payment. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Prices are shown before you pay. Taxes may be added where the law requires.
  • If we change the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 14 days before the change applies to you. If you don't want to pay the new price, you can cancel before then.
  • If a payment fails, we may limit or pause your account until it is paid.

Changing or cancelling your plan

You can change plans at any time. Upgrades start right away, and you pay the difference for the rest of your billing period. Downgrades start right away too, and the unused value is credited or refunded. You can cancel at any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

5. Refunds

  • 14-day money-back guarantee. If you aren't happy, email us within 14 days of your first payment or of a renewal and we'll refund that payment to your original payment method.
  • After 14 days, refunds are up to us. We look at each request fairly.
  • We don't refund payments if we closed your account because you broke these terms, for example for abuse, fraud or spam.
  • Free trials, credits and discounts have no cash value.
  • If you dispute a charge with your bank before talking to us, we may pause your account while it is sorted out.

To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. We usually reply within 5 business days. Banks can take a few more days to show the money in your account.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that apply to you.

6. Using HollerSpot responsibly

HollerSpot helps you join conversations and contact real people. Please do it in a way that respects them. You agree that you will:

  • Only add websites and products that you own or are allowed to promote.
  • Follow the rules of every site and community you take part in. Many forums and subreddits limit self-promotion, ban AI-written posts or require you to say that you work on the product you mention.
  • Be honest about who you are. Don't pretend to be a happy customer of your own product, write fake reviews or use fake accounts.
  • Follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply when you email people, such as Australia's Spam Act 2003, the US CAN-SPAM Act and the GDPR. In short: say who you are, write a subject line that matches the email, give people an easy way to say no, and stop when they do.
  • Only use the contact details shown in HollerSpot to send a relevant, one-to-one message about the opportunity they came with. Don't add them to mailing lists, sell them, or send bulk or automated emails with them.

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, misleading, hateful or harassing.
  • Promote products or content that is illegal, dangerous, or that you don't have the right to sell.
  • Copy, scrape, resell or rent the Service or its results, unless we agree in writing.
  • Reverse engineer the Service, or try to get around its limits or security.
  • Access the Service with bots or scripts, other than through features we provide for that.
  • Test the security of the Service without our written permission. If you find a security problem, please email us.
  • Overload the Service, or get in the way of other people using it.
  • Share your account, or open several accounts to get more free scans or trials.

We may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts that break these rules. See section 13.

7. AI suggestions and drafts

HollerSpot uses AI models to read what a scan finds, pick and rank opportunities, explain them and write drafts. AI can make mistakes. It can misread a page, miss details, get facts wrong or suggest something that doesn't fit your product. Scores are our best estimate. They are not facts.

  • Check every suggestion and draft before you use it. Make sure facts, names and links are right.
  • Read the rules of a site or community before you post there.
  • You are responsible for anything you decide to post, send or publish, including text HollerSpot wrote.
  • Nothing in HollerSpot is legal, financial or other professional advice. Get advice from a qualified person if you need it.
  • AI can give similar suggestions or drafts to other users, so we can't promise that your drafts are unique.

8. Your content

“Your content” means what you give us, such as product details, notes and edits, and the drafts we write for you. You own your content. We don't claim any ownership of it, and you can use drafts we write for you however you like.

You give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content, and to send it to the service providers we use, only so we can run and improve the Service for you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law and backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.

You confirm that you have the right to give us your content, and that using it in the Service won't break anyone else's rights.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve HollerSpot without owing you anything. Thank you for them.

9. Other websites and their content

The opportunities we show come from other websites and their users. That content belongs to them. We link to it and show short quotes so you can see why we suggested it. Please use it only to decide what to do, and don't copy it in ways the owner hasn't allowed.

We don't control other websites, and we aren't responsible for their content, their rules or what happens when you use them. Posts can be edited, closed or deleted at any time, so an opportunity can go out of date. When you use another website, its own terms apply.

10. Google and other connected accounts

You can sign in with Google, and you can connect Google Search Console to a product. Search Console access is read-only. We use it only to give you suggestions for that product, as our privacy policy explains. You can disconnect it on the product, and remove HollerSpot's access in your Google account settings at any time.

Your use of Google is covered by Google's own terms and privacy policy. We aren't responsible for Google's services, and if Google changes or stops them, some HollerSpot features may stop working.

11. Our service and brand

HollerSpot, including its software, design, text, logo, the raccoon mascot and our brand, belongs to us and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited right to use the Service under these terms while your account is active. You can't pass this right to anyone else. These terms don't give you any right to use our name or brand.

12. Changes to the service

We keep improving HollerSpot, so features will change. We may add, change or remove features, the sources a scan uses, or plan limits. If a change takes away something important from a plan you have paid for, we'll tell you before it happens where we can, and you can cancel and ask for a refund of any unused time.

Some features may be marked as early or beta. They may not always work as expected, and we may change or remove them at any time.

If we ever close HollerSpot, we'll tell you at least 30 days before. You can ask us for a copy of your data until it closes, and we'll refund any time you paid for that you can't use.

13. Closing your account

By you

You can stop using HollerSpot at any time. To delete your account and its data, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Cancel any paid plan first so you aren't charged again.

By us

We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if:

  • you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by spamming people found through HollerSpot;
  • your account puts other people, HollerSpot or the Service at risk;
  • you don't pay for a paid plan; or
  • the law requires it.

Where it makes sense, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. We have zero tolerance for abuse, threats or harassment aimed at us or other people, and may close accounts right away for it.

What happens next

When your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends and we delete your data as our privacy policy explains. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those about payments owed, content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes, continue after your account is closed.

14. What we can and can't promise

We work hard to make HollerSpot useful and reliable. But marketing results depend on many things outside our control, so we don't promise any particular result, such as visitors, rankings, links, replies, sign-ups or sales.

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't make any promises about it that aren't written in these terms. This includes promises that it will always be available, have no errors, or that results will be complete, accurate or up to date.

Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and consumers in other countries may have similar rights. Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights.

15. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, however it is caused;
  • our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event that caused the claim, or AUD $100; and
  • where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Your responsibility for claims

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal costs, if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, what you post or send (including messages to people you found through HollerSpot), or your breach of these terms or the law. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you help respond to it.

17. Solving problems

If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. Email [email protected] and describe the problem. We'll try in good faith to sort it out. Before either of us starts formal legal action, we both agree to try for at least 30 days to resolve it this way. This doesn't stop either of us from seeking urgent orders from a court.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we agree that the courts of New South Wales, and courts that can hear appeals from them, can decide any dispute about these terms or the Service. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep any rights your local law gives you, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as HollerSpot and the law change. We'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using HollerSpot after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can close your account before they take effect, and we'll refund any unused time you paid for.

19. Other legal details

  • Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account, or show them in the app. You can send notices to us at [email protected].
  • Events outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things we can't reasonably control, such as outages at our hosting, network or AI providers, internet failures, disasters or government action.
  • If part of these terms isn't valid, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Transfer. You can't transfer your account or these terms without our written agreement. We may transfer them to a business that takes over HollerSpot, and we'll tell you if we do.
  • Whole agreement. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Relationship. These terms don't make us partners, employees or agents of each other.
